The EC-funded MoveS network (Free Movement and Social Security Coordination) organised a seminar in Lithuania (Vilnius) on Thursday 8 May 2025.
The seminar was organised by MoveS in collaboration with its Lithuanian national experts Vida Petrylaite (Vilnius University) and Mantas Jautakis (State Social Insurance Fund Board). MoveS is an EC-funded network of independent experts from 32 European countries coordinated by Eftheia and Deloitte.
The Lithuanian MoveS seminar tackled the challenges of the EU regulation of EU posted workers and its Lithuanian perspective. Guest experts introduced recent developments in labour mobility and social security coordination at the EU level and current challenges related to intra-EU posting of workers. Furthermore, distinctive topics concerning Lithuanian practice of posting (including international road transport sector) and formalisation of posting (A1 form) were presented and discussed.
The seminar was intended for researchers and practitioners who encounter problems with posting workers and implementation of their rights and employers' obligations in their daily activities: researchers from Universities, advocates, and their assistants, judges, company lawyers, and representatives of social partners.
